Times are hard. The already low food supplies are getting lower and in return, rebels are acting up. Melaina and Nora are best friends – but more importantly; they are witches. With the ability to pull energy out of thin air and put them in machines enabling them to function, they play a vital part in this harsh world. Melaina works as a technical consultant and works on a solution to help store that energy. But she harbors a deep hatred for the way the city is becoming and confides in her mysterious friend Sam. Who isn’t who he seems to be. Sam lures Melaina into a world filled with secrets and discoveries, which cause her to despise the King and the royal family. Secrets that lead her to take action and restore the beautiful city she once grew up in and loves. On the other side of the city, Nora works in the hospital. When the crown Princess Anne visits her, she finds herself in a whirlwind romance she never saw coming. Being sucked into the royal family as the girlfriend of the crown princess, she can’t shake the feeling that Melaina does not support her for following her heart. Nora notices the change in her best friend and decides to figure out what’s going on and save her from herself. Can their friendship survive these hardships? Or will they keep drifting apart, living in two different worlds? Or do they possess all the pieces of the puzzle to figure everything out?
